I am lucky that my favorite food on the planet is something I cook myself right here at home. Tell me these ribs don’t look amazing. It doesn’t get any better than these, folks!

Man-Pleaser Chicken
I am cringing posting a cell phone photo of this chicken but A) we devoured the entire pan of chicken before I could even think to take a photo (if you look closely there are already a couple of bites missing from this piece) and B) the recipe was SO good I decided to share now so that anyone looking for the perfect simple dinner recipe would not have to wait any longer. You’re welcome. Continue reading
Being really hungry is one of the worst feelings in the world.
I have to admit that like many people, I spent a great portion of my life sort of indifferent to the problems that might happen outside of my immediate social circle or hometown. I used to make remarks about how we should take care of our own before helping other countries. I used to refuse to donate to humanitarian causes, choosing instead to direct my funds toward local high school sports teams, etc. I always felt that community should come first. This is not necessarily a bad or faulty train of thought. However, my attitudes on humanitarian causes have changed quite drastically in the past two years and I’ll explain why. Continue reading

Let the countdown to Hawaii begin!
In just 8 1/2 short months I will be photographing a wedding on this beautiful beach! I absolutely cannot wait. Those who know me best know that Hawaii is my favorite place on the planet. I was debating on moving there when I met my husband and now I just have to convince him to go with me 😉
This is an exciting opportunity for me to photograph a wedding on the beautiful beaches of Hawaii as well! I had a blast last time I travelled to Oahu, playing in the water, body surfing, shopping, tanning, relaxing on the beach, and of course, taking pictures.
I didn’t have anywhere near the camera equipment then that I do now. I can’t wait to play! For now, my mom and I are working hard at getting ourselves in shape so we are strong enough to do all the playing that we plan on doing! That is, after the wedding festivities of course 🙂
